CID Ghana UK&Irelands activities are focused in 2 main areas. Volunteering. CID Ghana UK&Ireland offers enthusiastic and adventurous people an opportunity to travel to Ghana, West Africa and volunteer in a range of fields. Details can be found at volunteer.

The main local activites are fund raising for the Kukuo Yapalsi Primary School project. CID Ghana UK&Ireland aim to raise over £30,000 to build a primary school for up to 200 kids for the kids of Kukuo Yapalsi, Tampe Kukuo and surrounding region. CID Ghana has secured agreement with the Ghana Education service to guarantee they will adopt the school after it is completed and provide teachers ensuring the project is needed, approved and sustainable.

The UK&Ireland group helped support the fundraising by the Dutch group who, in partnership with the Dutch organisation Simavi , raised funds for the Kootingli Dam project guaranteeing sufficient and clean water for the village. For an update just click on the link Kootingli water project.
